Edward Boyd

Was enrolled in the SPARTIN school of Avation at 19 to become an Airline Pilot. My father had open Heart Surgery in its pioneer days and the Doctors said someone needed to stay with him for six months so I canceled and stayed with him. Life took me other directions after that career wise. I had built model airplanes ever since I was a young and still with a passion for Avation and set out to get my private . The day of the check ride the weather was bad then I ended up in a divorce and the weather was real bad so things were set aside. Later I bought a 46 Luscombe and was restarting again and before I even got to Fly, I lost my job and had to sell the iAirplane. Later, I started up again and then the airport closed. Sometime after I purchased a Cessna 150 Aerobat and finally got my ticket and went right on into flying Aerobatic Competition. I never gave up even when life stood in my way several times. I Ended up a successful entrepreneur with a great wife behind me, developing an engineering manufacturing business. Sold and Retired in 2012. Flew the National STOL the last two seasons. The first year just trying to figure things out with a lot of help from the more experienced. The second year ended up First Place in the CUB class . Now I’m just having a good time with a lot of great people.
